Cross the Maritimes on VIA
Rail’s “The Ocean”! Imagine departing Montréal just as dusk is falling,
shrouding the city skyline. Nightfall settles in while you traverse the
Monteregian Hills and follow along the Saint Lawrence River, distant lights
marking the small towns you pass on your journey east. The train reaches the
coast of Baie-des-Chaleurs at the break of dawn, and soon you’re in Moncton and
then Halifax, ready to discover the Maritimes.

Maritimes! Go through the provinces of Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Our motor coach will be waiting in Halifax as we disembark the train and begin
our land excursion! We’ll return to Halifax for our return Via Rail journey
home!
